Cureggia
Cureggia, a district of 178 inhabitants has been part of Lugano since 2004. In 1956 the historic isolation of the village ended when a road was built which facilitated its development, and Cureggia became the residence of movie celebrities. Today, Cureggia is a starting point for trails leading to Alpe Pietrarossa, Alpe Bolla, Monte Boglia, Brè and the Denti della Vecchia. It keeps its peaceful atmosphere and bond with nature. Thanks to its favourable position, it is ideal for hikers and those who enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
