Gandria
Gandria, with its 285 inhabitants, is one of Lugano's most picturesque districts, a true shelter on the shores of Lugano Lake and on the slopes of Monte Brè. This charming village, a part of Lugano since 2004, appeals to tourists with its breathtaking views of the lake. The village has remained an untouched jewel over the years, with narrow streets, flights of steps and original houses, keeping its authenticity thanks to the traffic-free zone. Along the opposite shore, there are old warehouses and the Swiss Customs Museum, known as the Smugglers' Museum. Gandria is a special place, surrounded by chestnut groves and by the waters of the lake, ideal for hikers and enthusiasts of beautiful landscapes.
